When I was younger I had freedom
Sometimes freedom's not enough
So I set out to find limits
But instead I found some love
Everything evolves eventually
Like the troubles that arose
All the limits I discovered
Were the limits I imposed
Unconvinced that I'm a good man
Or what it means to be
When the source of all my problems
Seems to be just me
Even if I point my finger
It still bends the same
I want to learn how I can clean
These messes that I make
I ended up in the desert
The air was burning me alive
Then a man with a canteen
Appeared before my eyes
Well I begged for some water
I think I begged for 7 days
But when he finally offered
I turned him away
Unconvinced that I'm a good man
Or what it means to be
When the source of all my problems
Seems to be just me
Even if I point my finger
It still bends the same
I want to learn how I can clean
These messes that I make
I think I've finally accepted
That every good thing ends in time
We all wish there were exceptions
But without death we're not alive
